The most amazing story unfolded around the Holidays, and we are so happy to share it with you.  One of our beloved fans, Rachel in New York, lost her son’s favorite Little Giraffe blanket, which he affectionately refers to as “Bebe,” and posted her plea on Craigslist.  Our CEO, Trish Moreno, ran across her message, and immediately wanted to help reunite Eli and his favorite blanket.  Our fans are what mean most to us here at Little Giraffe, and we want you to know the love you have for our soft & comfy blankets is most definitely appreciated.  Here’s what happened, and how Eli was reunited with his beloved Bebe.

Rachel was taking a stroll with her young sons on a rainy afternoon in New York, when somehow Eli’s blanky disappeared in the chaos of the rain.  “The idea that ‘Bebe’ fell out of the stroller and was getting all sopping wet and muddy almost had me in tears,” Rachel told us.  She retraced her every step from that day, but couldn’t locate his lost Bebe.

“Aside from feeling guilty, I was also just very sad to have lost something so precious from Eli’s babyhood. He had Bebe since he was 4 months old and I just always thought I would have it to keep.”

Out of sheer desperation, Rachel decided to post this on the “lost and found board” of Craig’s List:

LOST: Little Giraffe Lovey Blanket
My son dropped his Little Giraffe lovey blanket out of his stroller yesterday 12/5 while walking down Broadway. It’s mint green & brown with a satin polka dot trim. If you have seen it or happened to pick it up, we would be so grateful. It’s a very sad loss for a 2.5 year old (and his mommy!) as you can imagine.

Rachel felt the chances of someone finding Eli’s Bebe and actually checking Craig’s List were slim, but stranger things have happened, right?   Well, our CEO Trish Moreno discovered the post early the next morning and immediately contacted Rachel to see how we could help.

Rachel was shocked to see the email in her in-box and couldn’t believe we had discovered her post and were there to help.  We asked Rachel which blanket her son had, and while we didn’t have that style in stock, we quickly made her two of the exact same blanket as the Bebe Eli had lost, just so she was covered in case of another situation like this.  We quickly shipped the two custom replacements blankys and when Rachel received the package, she let us know “the blankies are perfect and beautiful. I can’t thank you enough for making this happen for us!”  We were so happy to help reunite one of our customers and her son with his favorite Little Giraffe “Bebe”!

“It’s one of those things that really has warmed my heart and restored my faith in the kindness of strangers,” Rachel told her friends on her blog.

“It’s the perfect example of how something so small can really make a huge difference in someone’s life and is especially fitting given the time of the year, the season of “magic,” giving, good will, etc…. I feel like this is the universe’s way of looking out for me and my family by giving back,” says Rachel.

When we see Eli’s happy, smiling face, it makes it all worthwhile!  Glad we could help!

The Cruise family has been in Spain lately, supporting Tom while he films his next movie, and Life & Style shows the three on a day out with their Little Giraffe blanket in-hand!

We love receiving pictures from our customers of their little ones snuggling with our products.  We all say, “Awww… how cute!” and feel great about the work we are doing here to provide the softest, cuddliest products on the market.  Today, we share with you a couple images we just received from our customers that really made us smile!

Our first fan is 14 month old Sienna Rain from Florence, AL.  Sienna’s mom Amy tells us:  ”Honestly, Sienna has always loved her Little Giraffe blankets.  In the morning, before she will even reach for me to get her out of the crib, the first thing she will do is grab her LG blanket!  Then, when I pick her up, she buries her head in her blanket on my shoulder. I cherish that moment every morning.  It is the sweetest thing.  She sleeps holding her LG blanket, she nurses holding her LG blanket, and she carries them with her everywhere she goes.  I do not leave the house without one!  They are so comforting to her, and so beautiful to me.  Every little girl and little boy deserves a Little Giraffe blanket!”

Boys Love Little Giraffe, too!

Our next adorable fan is Asher Wold from Shoreline, WA near Seattle.  Asher’s mom Daniella tells us, “My son loves his pillow so much, he calls it his BoBo.  It was the first gift I bought for him while I was pregnant, so it means even that much more to me.  :)”
